Protests - Part 13

Extinction Rebellion

Extinction Rebellion is a global organization, started in Britain, advocating immediate action on climate change.  On Aug. 16, 2020, the Cambridge University branch of the group staged a naked protest outside Kings College, Cambridge.

Here's a rear view of the protesters.  The were in full view of the public street.

Almost all the close-up photos of the protesters were pixellated or blurred, which I find odd, because usually British publications are not so prudish.

I was only able to find a couple of uncensored photos, both of the same young man.

Their protest was to demand that the university divest its stock holdings in fossil fuel companies.

I wholeheartedly support action on global warming.  If you don't think it's important, consider this observation: "Don't think of this year as the warmest year of your life (which it is).  Think of this year as the coolest year of the rest of your life."
