National Sausage Day
Did you know that October is National Sausage Month, and October 1 is National Sausage Day?
These may be meatless, but they certainly look like sausages.
A hot dog is of course a type of sausage. Here's one that's ready to eat.

The site that I use to identify unusual holidays says Oct. 1 is National Sausage Day, but other sites listed National Sausage Day as January 5, April 30, June 5, October 11, or October 21. National Sausage Roll day is June 5, and International Sausage Day is April 12. But after all, for some of us, every day is sausage day.
