Calendars - Part 73

Animal Men 2016

Last time we saw the 2015 Animal Men calendar, featuring nude men with various animals.  Today we look at the 2016 Animal Men calendar.  I know almost nothing about these calendars.  Despite the English title Animal Men, the month names are in German, so I think this is a German calendar.

The 2016 cover features a snake.

January features some kind of parrots.  The frontal view is hidden by darkening it ...

but a little Photoshop work takes care of that.

February features a Dalmation.

May shows another snake.

June has a butterfly.

For those of you who don't like August's spider ...

November features a kitty-cat.

And we wrap up with a man and his horse.

Calendars - Part 72

Animal Men 2015

Today's calendar is called Animal Men.  I don't know who created it.  Here's the calendar cover page.

Most of these calendars don't show frontal views, but January is an exception.

Although the cover page title is in English, all the month names are German, so I presume this is a German calendar.

Each page shows a naked man with a different kind of animal.

The same horse that was on the cover, and a nice rear view of the same man.

All the other photos feature a live animal, but July only uses a shell.

All kinds of animals are featured, like octopi for August.  The frontal view is hidden by darkening it ...

but it's actually there, as a little brightening in Photoshop reveals.

A parrot ...

a couple of bearded dragons ...

and the calendar ends with what looks like a Biblical reference to Adam, the snake, and the apple.

Calendars - Part 69

 The Farmers Calendar

Today we look at the 2025 Farmers Calendar, produced in Devon, England.

The Farmers Calendar is the brainchild of Nicola de Pulford, a photographer who has a small farm in Devon.

Mr. January is Lewis, above.

In 1999, export of British beef was banned due to mad cow disease.  Nicola turned to Paul Westlake, a young local farmer, and suggested another way to sell beef, i.e. a calendar of naked men, if he would agree to be a model.

Mr. February is Huw.

Paul agreed, and they rounded up eleven other guys as models.  Nicola photographed them naked and produced the first Farmers Calendar for the year 2000.

Mr. March is Nathan.

Nicola got 10,000 calendars printed, and their sale raised £5,000 for a charity.  Since then she has produced a calendar every year.

Mr. April is David.

Nicola says that none of the men in her calendars are professional models.  They're all real farmers.

Mr. May is Anthony.  The photo caption said "Finger licking good."

Mr. June is Anthony.

Mr. July is Mike.

Mr. August is Kit.

Mr. September is George.  The photo caption said "You can plow my furrow."

Mr. October is Chris.

Mr. November is John.

And Mr. December is James.

Each year Nicola also produces a Lady Farmers Calendar, a female naked calendar.  Sales of both calendars support charity.  The 2025 calendars are supporting Farms for City Children.
