Watchfield Free Festival, 1975
A British music festival called the People's Free Festival had been held in Windsor Great Park from 1972 to 1974. The Windsor festival was violently terminated by police in 1974. The government was embarrassed by the police actions, and the next year, the government sponsored the People's Free Festival at a former military site in Watchfield, England in August, 1975.
In those days, many hippies attended music festivals, and nudity was common (think of Woodstock). This is an enlargement of the upper-right corner of the previous photo.
Some more festival-goers at what looks like an animal watering trough.
The festival lasted over a week. The text for this photo said that two hippies, part-time dishwasher David Beale and June Dyminski, both age 22, met at the festival, and 48 hours later they got "married" at the festival. The bride wore jeans and a sweater. The groom wore only jeans. The "vicar" who performed the service, 30 year old pop organizer Sid Rawle, was naked. Although we don't have a photo of the "wedding", these are apparently some of the wedding celebrants and musicians (note the flutist and tambourine at left).
Another photo of the wedding party shows that the guy with glasses was naked, too
In our last photo, this guy, who appears to be the flutist from the previous photos, is approaching a group of nuns. That reminds me of a joke. A naked man walks past three nuns. Two of them had a stroke. The third one couldn't reach him.

LOL. Similar to the joke "Did you hear about the nun who chased the priest around the rectory? She caught him by the organ."
I liked the joke and the guy's ass!
Summer of love
