Jack LaLanne and Jack Thomas
Last time we saw bodybuilder Jack Thomas. Today we look at a famous photo shoot that California photographer Russ Warner did of Jack Thomas (left) together with Jack LaLanne (right) in the early 1950s.
Jack LaLanne (1914-2011) became a fitness guru. He hosted the first and longest-running fitness TV show, The Jack LaLanne Show, from 1951 to 1985.
Using the rope as a prop.
Engaging in some acrobatics, Thomas gets on top of LaLanne ...
and does a remarkable handstand in mid-air.
LaLanne lifts Thomas to show off his impressive strength (and his impressive body).
When Jack LaLanne became famous for his television series, he attempted to buy and destroy all prints of the photo set, because he was afraid that they gave a homosexual impression. (You think?) Fortunately, photographer Russ Warner refused, and that's why we have the photos to enjoy today.

High marks for photographer Russ Warner and his refusal. Thanks to him we get to see these fine specimens in all their glory.
I remember Jack on TV, he was a beautiful man to the end!
I don't think the photos give an homosexual impression as there is no sexual contact between them.
Those bodies are just wonderful. And those perfect bushes 😛😛😛
In a couple of these photos, Jack LaLanne's foreskin has slipped forward and is visible! Nice!
Very nice set.
if a guy is beginning a career , TV, teaching, law, whatever and he goes to the photographer and explains this and asks his pictures be returned, or at least not published and the photographer refuses and continues to share them, that's just cruel and mean. we all have things in our lives we wish we may not have done and to use that for personal gain knowing this could potentially hurt someone is just mean and selfish
@johnn, I disagree. Presumably Russ Warner paid Jack LaLanne as a model to take photos of him. Also, I think several years elapsed before LaLanne changed his mind and wanted the photos destroyed.
yes he was paid and the photos belonged to the photographer, i was suggesting the photographer weigh the situation, see this mans current success and obvious continuing successes and respond with some kindness and understanding. yes legally the photographer owned them. sometimes in life a kind exception isnt the worst choice
Pure Art!!!!
My mother used to exercise to the The Jack LaLanne Show...I'm sure she had no idea of the goods he was hiding underneath those short shorts! Too bad he tried to hide these cause they're spectacular...
