Hiking - Part 47a

 Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California

This is the first in a three-part series on hiking in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.  It's the largest state park in California, only a few miles from the Mexican border.  Today we follow the hikers of PSSST (Palm Springs Social Sun Tanners), a gay naturist group that holds events such as naked hikes.  This is a hike they did in Anza-Borrego in 2009.  Above, the group is starting out on their hike.

Stopping for lunch.  There is little to no shade on the trail, and it can get very hot, so hiking in the summer is not advised.  This hike was done in March.

We end today with another hiker at the sign for Nude Wash, which was named by a park ranger when he saw a naked man sunbathing in the wash (dry stream bed).  This is the most frequently stolen sign in the park.
