More Mountain Tops
Todays photos are all by one hiker who likes to hike to the tops of mountains on the West Coast. He calls himself Mtn Bum. We start with him atop Mt. Saint Helens before the 1980 eruption, with Mt. Rainier in the distance. At the time, the summit was 9677 feet high. The top of the mountain is now a mile-wide crater, the rim of which is 8363 feet high. The rest of the mountain top was blown away.
The rest of Mtn Bum's photos are atop mountains in California. This is Pyramid Peak, 9983 feet, near Lake Tahoe.
Here he is on Round Top Peak, 10381 feet, near Lake Tahoe, looking over the snowy Sierra Nevada mountains.
North Sister, 10053 feet, in the same area as Round Top, near Carson Pass.
Her companion peak, South Sister, 10153 feet.
Basin Peak, 9017 feet.
Mt. Fillmore. Although it's lower at 7715 feet, all these Sierra Nevada peaks are snow-covered in winter and well into the spring.
Stevens Peak, 10059 feet.
We end with Mtn Bum on Silver Peak near Ebbets Pass, 10820 feet. What, no view? On the contrary, I think this is a beautiful view.

sure it is!
I miss my naked hikes.... Who's taking the phots? Or is he using a timer on a really good camera?
His ass is a very fine view.
@Whkattk - Pat, I wondered the same thing. I'm guessing he's using a self-timer.
best view!
TIL the weird things he has on his boots and socks are called hiking gaiters.
Beautiful views!!!
