Events - Part 39

 Christopher Street Day 2014-2015

Christopher Street Day (CSD) is the name that some cities in Germany and Switzerland use for their Gay Pride celebration.  The name refers to the location of the Stonewall Riots on Christopher Street in New York in 1969.  CSD is a celebration, usually including a parade, but it's also a demonstration for LGBT rights and against discrimination.

Most participants are not naked, of course, but a few wear something revealing, like this guy at CSD Berlin (a.k.a. Berlin Pride) in 2014.

And a few wear nothing at all, like this guy at CSD Zurich (a.k.a. Zurich Pride) in 2014, posing next to a Ferrari.  He calls himself Zuerigay.

By far the biggest CSD event is the one in Berlin, and in 2015, Zuerigay made a conspicuous appearance.  Here he is between what he called the "angels of GMF."  GMF is an LGBT club in Berlin.

Here he is walking away from the GMF truck or float.

Strolling around ...

Posing with someone dressed for the occasion ...

And, apparently not getting enough attention, climbing a lamppost.  "Hey, look at me!"

We end with a photo of Zuerigay not taken at CSD, but I couldn't resist sharing it with you.  It shows a dragonfly that landed on his penis.  Now if that's not being au naturel, I don't know what is.

I have many more Christopher Street Day photos, so stay tuned for them in future posts.

It's going to be an interesting Pride in the US as some cities consider canceling due to credible threats. And we don't even have naked dudes like him.

I know that I donnot often comment, yet the reason why your blog is amongst my favorites is that it always provides educational informations. I didn’t know of ‘Christopher Street Day’ as a name that’s used by my German neighbors for Gay Pride. Though I wouldn’t call it CSD, for it sounds a bit too much as a new sexual disease’s name :-)
Anyway, anything that relates to Berlin always raises my interest, even decades after I lived there. So thank you very much for this peek into how liberal this town can be.
Yours friendly, Laurent
