Note: This nursery rhyme was first published in 1844, but some people think it is much older. One theory is that it is based on a journey of King Edward I to Gloucester in the 13th century. Edward reportedly fell off his horse into a puddle and refused to go to Gloucester again.

Apparently an archaic meaning of "piddle" was a stream. Today, of course, "piddle" means something else, like the guy above, who apparently doesn't mind us watching him piddle. Hi, there!
