Es Trenc, Mallorca
Es Trenc is a beautiful and popular beach on the Spanish island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean Sea. The beach is about 2 miles long, with fine white sand.
The water is shallow, safe for children, and turquoise blue, looking more like the Caribbean than the Mediterranean.
The beach is one of the few on Mallorca that has not been surrounded by houses or hotels. It's backed by dunes and is now part of a national park, ensuring no future development.
The beach is reached by paths through the dunes from parking lots at either end.
Aside from the paths to the parking lots, the dunes are off-limits. I struggled to interpret this sign. No men (but women are allowed)? I think it means "no people," i.e. keep out.
However, some people ignore the sign, like this guy who seems to have an urgent appointment in the dunes.
Because access is from both ends of the beach, the clothing-optional area is smack in the middle of the beach.
There are some facilities for refreshments and renting beach umbrellas. An umbrella is a good idea, because there is no shade on the beach.
Of course, you can always work on your tan ...
Or go swimming in the turquoise water ..
Or work on your tan ...
Or read a book ...
Or work on your tan ...
Or just sit back and enjoy the scenery.
