Kings Canyon National Park
Kings Canyon National Park is adjacent to Sequoia National Park in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Today's post consists of photos from a single naked hike in the park, posted by the hiker. Above, he sets out on the Woods Creek trail, through woods paralleling the south fork of the Kings River.
After a flat stretch, the trail splits. This bridge leading to a side trail provides a nice view of the river – and other things.
The Woods Creek trail begins to climb.
Past a talus slope, or rockfall.
The trail follows the stream.
The Sierras are a landscape of granite. This is just below Mist Falls.
The trail continues past Mist Falls, heading for Paradise Valley.
Vegetation changes with altitude.
The trail still follows the stream.
The trail crosses another bridge in Paradise Valley
The hiker stops for a snack at the bridge.
Then the trail keeps climbing.
Upper Paradise Valley, 9.5 miles from the trailhead.
On the way back down, the hiker removes his boots ...
And hops across the icy stream ...
To enjoy the sun on a rock.
Then it's back down ...
And back to the start.
Whew! Nice hike.

He hiked alone. He'd plant his camera, and then pose for it.
