Weighing In - Part 23

 Daniele Limone

Daniele Limone, born in 1984, is an Italian boxer.  The video shows him weighing in Kiev, Ukraine on June 17, 2018 in happier times before the war in Ukraine.  His match was to try to win the vacant IBA Intercontinental Super-Featherweight title.  His manager or trainer held up a T-shirt to preserve his modesty, but Daniele didn't seem too concerned who could see him.

That apron weighs less than those skivvy shorts? I doubt it.

Why don't they just weigh his undies separately and deduct that from the total?

At the last second, you can see the manager or trainer grabbing the "apron" (a T-shirt, I think) and holding it in front of Daniele on the scale so it doesn't add to his weight.

Because that would be no fun :) Seriously, long ago it was not a big deal for fighters to weigh in naked among an all-male audience. I'm guessing that if a fighter weighed in wearing his shorts and went over weight, he would just ditch the shorts (with no modesty towel) and nobody cared. By the time that mixed audiences and modesty towels happened, the idea of ditching the shorts and getting weighed naked was established tradition.

A not so "All Male" Audience

Not all-male these days. But when the weigh-in naked tradition was established, it was. Now they try to ensure modesty with a towel or T-shirt or whatever, but luckily for us, some of the athletes are unashamed. Also, these days, many weigh-in events have scantily-clad women standing behind the weigh-in scale to provide hetero eye candy, and they see everything.

He doesn’t really seem unashamed to me. Maybe about his butt, but he seems very careful about keeping his dick covered.
