Nick Turner

Nick Turner is an American artist and photographer, born in 1983, now living in the south of France.  He says he uses self-portraits to examine his insecurities, desires, and realities as a man.  Above, self-portrait, 2014.

Nick loves horses.  Many of his best photos are portraits of himself, nude, with a horse.  I especially like this one of the man and his horse in the rain.

Here he is riding ...

feeling the bond between man and animal ...

and displaying supreme confidence, riding bareback on a rearing horse.

He made a series of self-portraits in the barren landscape of Iceland.  In some he is alone ...

and in others, he is with a herd of Icelandic horses.
