Gods, Myths and Heroes - Part 79

Bumper Stickers

Some religious people are fond of bumper stickers.  This photo was labeled "Welcome to the Bible Belt."

But the "saved" aren't the only ones with bumper stickers, as seen above.

In religion, there's always room for intolerance.

Then there are bumper stickers for those who are more rational.

Ironically posted on a bumper sticker, because thinking is hard.

This one is more philosophical.  Also note the "Ride Naked" sticker at the top.

This quote is attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte.  My friend Rick will no doubt appreciate it.

And if you don't believe what an atheist says, then answer this.

As the Unashamed Male, I have to end with this one.

Instead on focusing on the negative, you should focus on the positive.

The so called “Christians” who follow their religious “leaders” of avarice that pimp the word of God for financial gain and prostitute the image of Christ have become the Anti-Christ they supposedly fear. They worship at the foot of their gold calf of personal greed and false piety, Moloch would be proud.
And they have the nerve praying for the End Times to destroy people they don’t approve of, and a second coming of Christ that will never happen.
If He did come back, the so called “Christians” would be the first to abuse, blaspheme, and crucify Christ just as the Romans had done. They will find there is no mercy for the damned.

In that book filled with Christian mythology - I think they call it the Bible, itself being a spin-off series of tales based upon the Torah thing - there's the story of that Hero (in the Olympian sense: half-god half-human) who one day drove the merchants out of the Temple. The same book predicts that one day this Jesus character will come back on earth. Well, considering how mercantile human societies have become I have no doubt that, where applicable, he will spend most of his power and relish on going after most humans. Starting with billionaires, greedy politicians and, obviously, venal ministry of his cult.
Considering the the current ways of the world, I almost wish I was a simpleton and 'pray' for that day to come.
But I'm just an atheist, so I'll stick to relying on proven facts :-)

(loved this post BTW)
