Flag Day
Today, the U.S. Army is holding a parade to celebrate its 250th anniversary. It's also Donald Trump's birthday.
We're going to ignore both of those, because today is also Flag Day in the United States, which is what today's post is about.
Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the first U.S. flag by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777. The flag's 13 stripes and 13 stars represented the original 13 states.
This guy got body-painted as a flag in the 2012 Fremont Solstice Parade.
As did this guy in the 2015 Fremont Solstice Parade.
Perhaps you could celebrate Flag Day by wearing a flag jockstrap, like this one ...
or this one ...
or by wearing a flag shirt ...
or flag shorts.
Or you could show your excitement about the flag in another way. Happy Flag Day!
