Poem of the Day - Part 58

The Objection to Being Stepped On
by Robert Frost

At the end of the row
                                                            I stepped on the toe
                                                            Of an unemployed hoe.

(Above: Andrew Wain, head gardener at Euridge Manor, England, on World Naked Gardening Day, 2017)

                                                            It rose in offense
                                                            And struck me a blow
In the seat of my sense.

(Above: Diego Valentino)

                                                            It wasn't to blame
But I called it a name.

(Above: Diego Valentino)

And I must say it dealt
Me a blow that I felt
                                                            Like a malice prepense.

You may call me a fool,
                                                            But was there a rule

                                                            The weapon should be
                                                            Turned into a tool?

                                                            And what do we see?

(Above: Nature Boy James)

The first tool I step on
                                                            Turned into a weapon.

The guy in #4 looks like he's got a hard on. This is a fun post with some hood- looking guys being shown...and "showing," if ya know what I mean. Big Dude

Diego Valentino could work in my gardens any time he'd like. So thankful these guys weren't shy about going full frontal. Wonderful to see.

World Naked Gardening Day? I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

When I worked on the railroad digging trenches for wires, I thought that "lethal-looking hoe" was a "pick-mattock". There are such digging tools sold with that name.

Two of the other instruments are rakes. The others, we do not see the business end of. So there may not be any hoes in this post at all. :)
