Hiking - Part 51

Signs

If a hiker or traveler poses next to a sign, we know where he is.  Today we look at signs from all over.

Where is this guy?  On the Appalachian Trail, specifically on the section in southern Vermont that is also part of Vermont's Long Trail.

Battelle-Darby Creek park is in central Ohio, southwest of Columbus.

Enlarging the photo, we can see the sign for Clifford's Tower, part of York Castle, York, England.

Death Valley National Park, California.

The Folkestone Downs, near Folkestone, England, next to the English Channel.

First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park, Montana.

Grand Portage State Park in northern Minnesota, on the Canadian border.

Hoosier National Forest in Indiana, with a sign for the Oriole East and Oriole West trails.

Irazu Volcano National Park in Costa Rica.

Joshua Tree National Park in southern California.

Key West, Florida, at the end of Route 1.

Mickey Hot Springs in southeastern Oregon.

Mount Magazine State Park in Arkansas, northwest of Little Rock.

Náučný chodník Boky (Boky Nature Trail) in Slovakia.

Oslo, Norway, identifiable by the Tronsmo bookstore sign.

Park Wood in Kent, England.  Sorry, riding this guy is apparently by permit only.

Portland, Oregon.  This is a gathering in Cathedral Park for the 2018 World Naked Bike Ride.

Quiet Bay (Бухта Тихая), Russia.

Saline Valley Warm Springs in Death Valley National Park, California.

Steep Point, the westernmost point in Australia.

Yalgoo, Western Australia.

We end our A to Z survey of signs with Zion National Park in Utah.

Some mighty nice cocks here. That guy at First Peoples has a cool cockshadow. And the guy sporting wood at the Wood...what a hoot.

I got excited when I saw Darby Creek, since there's one just West of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

All of the desert photos have long shadows so they were smart enough to be out when it was cooler.
