Eclipse
Today a total eclipse will be visible in the United States. The path of totality is shown above, and a partial eclipse will be visible in every state.
This man was getting ready to view the eclipse of Aug. 21, 2017 in Ontario, Canada. It was a partial eclipse there.

Note that you should not look directly at the sun without protective eyewear during a partial eclipse, or during a total eclipse until the eclipse becomes total.

When the eclipse becomes total, you can and should look at it directly. It's an amazing sight. I know; I have seen two total eclipses.

There is a 1995 movie called Total Eclipse in which Leonardo DiCaprio appears naked (above). The movie has nothing to do with an astronomical event. It takes place in the 1800s. 16-year-old French poet Arthur Rimbaud, played by DiCaprio, who was 20 at the time, seduces 27-year-old Paul Verlaine, another French poet, played by David Thewlis.
There's not much sun in Total Eclipse, but Leonardo DiCaprio does show us the moon.
We end with a clip from Saturday Night Live in which Kenan Thompson impersonates astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, talking about the eclipse in 2017, and why he's planning to watch it naked. Who knew astronomy could be so much fun?

It'll only be about 50% here in the desert, but I figure to be out there watching --- naked. LOL

Why was Leonardo DiCaprio naked? Looks as if he's undressing another guy in the first photo. Anyone know?
@SickoRicko - Rick, the eclipse was a 20% partial eclipse in Hawaii, and it was cloudy, so even that wasn't visible.
@Anon - Leonardo DiCaprio is naked and undressing another guy because, as I said, in the plot he's a poet who seduces another poet, and they have sex.
Here in Montreal, we had the full eclipse that I could see from my front balcony.
I did some photos too.
The best was the 1 min 26 sec the moon covered the sun.
It was magical and very impressive.
In the park in front of my place a crowd was there too and on the magical moment, a huge WOW came out.
The temperature was 17°C but on the full eclipse it got down to 12°C.
