Nobumitsu Osawa
One of the undercard MMA fights on Dec. 31, 2022 in Saitama, Japan, was between MMA lightweight fighters Nobumitsu Osawa, above, and Johnny Case. Osawa showed up for his weigh-in wearing nothing but a big purple bow tie and holding a pie plate in front of him.
Here's a video of both fighters weighing in and their subsequent face-off.
As we have seen before, it's not unusual for a fighter to strip naked to weigh in, to ensure that he doesn't exceed the weight limit for his class. But they always put their shorts back on before the face-off. Not this time!
After the weigh-in comes the face-off. Normally, the fighters stare balefully at each other, trying to intimidate their opponent. But this situation was so ridiculous that Johnny Case broke into a smile and playfully poked Osawa's chest.
Then they shook hands, with Osawa naked the whole time.
Here's the face-off from a different angle. For the fight itself, Osawa wore shorts. By the way, if he was trying to psych out Case with the naked weigh-in and face-off, it didn't work. Osawa lost the fight. But if he was trying to get publicity, it definitely worked.

He wasn't worried about the weight of the pie plate and large tie?
@jimboylan - Evidently not. I think he was confident that he would make weight and he did it as a stunt.
I'd like a mandatory rule that all athletes....especially the hunks....weigh in totally nude. And preferably before a large audience!
Both of them are very pleasing to the eye.
