Philadelphia 2013
I was surprised to find out that the Philadelphia WNBR was such a major event. In 2013, over 3000 people participated. I was also surprised that so many of the participants did body painting.
These guys are getting spatter painted for a Jackson Pollock effect in Penn Treaty Park, where the riders gathered before the event.
Dan is just getting a few random lines drawn on by friends
Other body painting was more representational, like Kevin, painted as Captain America.
Roy went for painted-on shorts, but I must say I like his "Where the Wild Things Are" tattoo more than the shorts.
Where's Waldo? Oh, here he is.
Not all the body painting was successful. I like abstract art, but this is just a mess.
This guy didn't need any paint. His body would be a work of art even without the tattoos.
And plenty of others skipped the paint. Here's a guy giving us a thumbs-up as he emerges from a tunnel along the route.
This guy is holding up traffic, but I wouldn't mind being held up if I were in that car.
We end with Greg at Germantown Ave. at the end of the ride. Awesome, dude!

Did not know the WNBR had an event in Philly.
Every year i wish the one here was better organized and publicized. Ah, well....
Thanks for the shout-out on Sat's Gods and Myths post. It really is an awesome one. I love Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythology. I, of course, had heard this one - but never in such great detail. Love it. Thanks, Larry!
I'd love to go for a ride with Kevin / Captain America. He's gorgeous.
So many hot men!
