KiwiBurn
I've just discovered that there are multiple regional versions of the Burning Man festival held around the world. One of them is in New Zealand, called KiwiBurn.
Like the original Burning Man, it's focused on art, community, inclusiveness, self-reliance, and self-expression. Self-expression includes the right to wear whatever costume you choose, like the guy above ...
Or the right to wear nothing at all.
This couple's self-expression seems to involve his expressing himself as her dog.
Dancers and drummers make a nice background for this guy strolling by, or rather, he makes a nice foreground.
The original Burning Man festival is held in the desert in Nevada, but KiwiBurn seems to be held somewhere where there's water – and mud.
Like Burning Man, at the end of the festival, huge wooden statues and temporary artworks are burned down, lighting up this naked crowd.
Two buddies watching the burn. Until next year, burners!

I've wanted to attend Burning Man since it came to NV. But it has gotten ridiculously expensive.
I especially liked the nice foreground man.
