Ron Amato

Yesterday we saw a series of protest photographs Gay in Trumpland by New York photographer Ron Amato (above).  Today we'll see more of his work.

Most of Amato's work depicts nude men, especially around Provincetown, Massachusetts.  Above, Rodrigo at Race Point.

There are a number of photos of two men embracing or cuddling, sometimes suggesting sex, like Mascular Flora 024, above, but never actually showing it.

Although we do see a guy taking matters in hand in Rowland Bynes, Berlin.

Amato is not shy about showing penises.  In fact, he seems obsessed with them.  On his website, there's a whole series of dozens of photos in a section called Members Only.  But you can see them without any membership.  Then you realize that the title is a pun.  This series contains photos of male members.

This one has an interesting texture.

And this closeup of pre-cum looks like a classic porn shot.  But if the artist says it's art, then it's art.
