Todd Yeager
Todd Yeager, born in 1965, has become well known in the New York art world. Above, Self-portrait with Boots, 2013.
Yeager is gay, and almost all his art features nude males. Above, Beach Boy, 2020, featuring model Sergey Sheptun.
Another nude, above: Michael, Belvedere Bayside, 2016.
Yeager has a thing about satyrs, fauns, and the god Pan. I used this image in a previous post (illustrating e. e. cummings' poem In Just-Spring). It's called Late Summer Satyr Sitting in a Stream, featuring model Derek. Is that an erection that the satyr has? Of course it is. Satyrs are noted for being horny (forgive the pun).
But I also found eight other paintings and drawings of Derek not as a satyr, such as the one above, and Derek has an erection in every one of them. So, apparently Derek was quite an appropriate model for a horny satyr.
Not all of Yeager's fantasy images are so explicit. Above is Pan Portrait, Sunken Forest, 2015, featuring model Eryc Taylor.
This is Full Moon at Noon, 2019, featuring models Sergey Sheptun and Christopher Bell. The satyr Christopher may be examining Sergey's full moon, but their fronts are concealed.
But other works are not so modest, such as Cupid and Satyr, 2020, also with Sergey Sheptun and Christopher Bell.
In Hillside Faun, 2020, featuring model Grant, the delicate flowers and butterflies lend an innocence to the raw sexuality of the faun.
Yeager paints more than just satyrs and fauns. We'll see more of his gay and sexy art tomorrow.

The opening piece is fascinating in how it was done. Exquisite, IMO.
He has done several pieces with the same technique, where the skin pattern looks almost like a woodcut, but from the rest of the piece, it's clearly not a woodcut. You'll see more of them tomorrow in his drawings of Bryan Slater, though you may have to click to enlarge to see the details.
Huh...now that you mention it, it does look as if it's all carved wood. Love it.
