Badlands

Badlands are a type of terrain where rocks and soil have been extensively eroded.  Today we look at some badlands in the central and western U.S.  Above, Badlands National Park, South Dakota.

We've got Badlands here --- they got developed into a golf course, of all things!

Badlands is a calque from Lakota. The original Badlands were said to be the site of an ancient battle between monsters.

I never knew they were a specific type of formation, hopefully they all include a naked man in them ;-)
