George Dureau (1930-2014) was a New Orleans artist and photographer, known for his charcoal drawings and his photographs of black men, dwarfs, and amputees, many of them nude. Today we'll look at some of his photos. Above, a self-portrait in his studio, 1977.

We end today with another white man, David Kopay. Kopay was an NFL football player. He was America's first professional athlete to come out as gay, which he did in 1975.
Next time we'll see more of George Dureau's nude photos, including some of his photos of dwarfs and amputees.
