The Fly
by Ogden Nash
The Fly is a classic short poem, only two lines long, by Odgen Nash:
God in his wisdom made the fly
And then forgot to tell us why.
* * *
That's it for the Ogden Nash poem, but I thought there was more to be said on the subject, so I added a few lines of poetry of my own about a different kind of fly. This is by me, not Odgen Nash:
God made the fly 'cause he was hip
Sometimes a guy needs to unzip.
Without a fly, we drop our pants
Which might be worth a second glance.
Dear reader, do not ask me why,
But now and then, we love the fly.

Good one. Unique and original posting. Thanks.
nice poem!
And...how in the world did the opening in men's pants become called "fly?"
I wonder if a fly could be felt moving around on a fellow's penis! Maybe a very sensuous feeling.
I love the GIF!
The last GIF, sorry.
Oh #4 um Gerald no...
I've been laying naked around the pool with borrowed coconut-pineapple sunscreen instead of my usual brand and the flies and bees liked this smell. I could tell instantly that they're landing. It is not pleasant at all! And the bee I was just desperately hoping it would go along it's merry way after not finding any pollen on my stamen and not feeling threatened or angry by anyone or anything.
Need a shower
Quite unique indeed. Didn’t know what to make of it or what to expect but decided to open it and so glad I did.
