Jesús Soto Karass
Jesús Soto Karass (born in 1982) is a Mexican professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2018. Above, he weighed in for a fight against Yoshihiro Kamegai at The Forum in Inglewood, California on Sept. 10, 2016.
The announcer's patter is priceless: "Now we need everyone to close their eyes." No, I think I'll keep my eyes wide open.
Of course, his uncovered appearance was quickly over. But we can fix that (above).

When did they start stripping for weigh-ins? I remember watching the Saturday night fights with my dad, back in the 50s, and the men wore their boxing trunks when being weighed. How much, if any, difference would trunks or skivvies make?
he's priceless!
Nude weigh-ins....a literal "meat market" for all to see.
@Big Dude - I think boxers have stripped for weigh-ins since the beginning. A 1912 photo shows Billie Papke weighing in naked with no towel to block the view, since the audience was all-male.
If a boxer exceeds the limit for his weight class by a few ounces, of course he will strip and try again. If he’s still over, he is given 2 hours to lose weight (usually by sweating it off) and try again. If he still doesn’t “make weight”, the match is cancelled, he has to pay the promoter’s expenses, which includes travel expenses for both fighters, and in a professional fight, he has to pay a fine. If it’s a title match, he automatically loses the title. So every ounce counts.
Thanks for the info. Am I remembering the fights wrong? Or were they staged with trunks just got TV. I still object to having females present in men's locker rooms. Especially since the males are required to leave female locker rooms before the women undress and shower.
@Big Dude - No, you're right that almost all fighters weigh in wearing boxing trunks. Only if they're over the limit for their weight class do they then strip off the trunks and try again, these days almost always behind a towel.
So, naked weigh-ins don't happen all the time, and heavyweight boxers never weigh in naked, because they have no weight limit, but naked weigh-ins happen more often than you might think, because it's to a fighter's advantage to pack on as much muscle as possible while remaining just under the weight limit.
Some unashamed boxer
