Iraq War Protest
March 19, 2008 was the fifth anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq and subsequent war. Protests were held in cities throughout the world. In San Francisco, several different protests were held in different places. These three men, calling themselves Naked Men for Peace, showed up at the U.N. plaza, across the street from the San Francisco Civic Center and City Hall.
From the left, they are San Francisco nudity activist Rusty Mills, nudity activist George Davis, and the third man may possibly be actor Bret Carr who joined them in another nude protest.
Police arrested 165 people in the San Francisco protests that day. Here, the police are confronting the naked protesters.
But they're not being arrested. Their protest was peaceful, and in 2008, public nudity was still legal in San Francisco. It was outlawed in 2012.

Nudity in San Fran is still legal --- but ONLY if it is an organized and city-permitted event.
Yep. The only reason it's semi-criminalized is because some of the nudists failed to wipe their asses, TBH.
