Apollo Beach, Florida
Apollo Beach is a nude beach at the north end of Canaveral National Seashore, just north of Playalinda Beach, which we saw in an earlier post.
Although it's not as close to the Kennedy Space Center as Playalinda is, for viewing rockets taking off, Apollo beach is much less crowded. If Playalinda is uncrowded compared to Miami's Haulover Beach, Apollo Beach is almost deserted. There is no development there: no houses, hotels, or condos.
And it's an official nude beach, which Playalinda is not (though nudity is tolerated there). The difference? Both beaches are within Canaveral National Seashore, which is Federal property, and there are no Federal laws against nudity. But Federal officials sometimes defer to local policy, and Playlinda Beach is in Brevard County, where nudity is technically illegal, but Apollo Beach is in Volusia County, which has no anti-nudity laws. So Beach #5, the last beach on the Apollo Beach access road, is legally clothing-optional, and it is marked as such.
The sand of Apollo Beach is filled with broken shells in places, so watch your step if you're barefoot.
But there are some nice sandy stretches for stretching out.
Or you can always use a beach chair.
And don't forget the sunscreen.
So, if you're looking for a Florida nude beach that you can have almost to yourself, this is it.
We end with a short video of a guy explaining about Apollo Beach as he walks the beach au naturel. There's a lot of background noise from the waves, but hey, it's a beach.

I live so far inland...we have nothing equivalent to naked beaches. You used to be able to swim naked at the Y, but those days are long gone.
Some day, when the people of FL get rid of their current government I may go back. Until then it'll have to be elsewhere or continue to be my backyard pool.
Definitely do NOT forget the sunscreen!
love naked guys here
