Pelé
Many regard Brazilian soccer star Pelé (1940-2022) as the greatest soccer player of all time. Above, Pelé (left) and fellow Brazilian player Hilderaldo Bellini congratulate each other after Brazil's victory over France in the 1958 World Cup. Pelé is the only soccer player to have won three World Cups, in 1958, 1962, and 1970.
A photo by Raymond Depardon shows Pelé (at right) in the shower in 1960. Pelé played at a time when being naked in the locker room was a normal thing, not something to hide.
Pelé being interviewed in 1962, the year of his second World Cup victory. Note that the interviewers are not looking at his face, but at something lower down.
Here are three of Pelé's teammates (Didi, Amarildo, and Zozimo) on Brazil's winning World Cup team in 1962. They're not shy, either.
In Brazil, Pelé played on the Santos team. In 1962, the team won the Libertadores Cup for the first time in a match in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Argentine fans gave him a standing ovation, and at the end of the match, the fans swarmed onto the field and took all of Pelé's clothes, leaving him naked on the field. This was not malicious, but rather evidence of their devotion – they wanted to have something of his.
From 1975 to 1977 Pelé played for the New York Cosmos. This famous photo by German photographer Volker Hinz shows Pelé at center with German player Franz Beckenbauer at right after a match in 1977.
Pelé recently passed away at age 82, but he will be remembered as possibly the world's greatest soccer player, not to mention an unashamed male.

so interesting!
I was recently lucky enough to be in a professional sports locker room after a game. No modesty was evident.
Lordy, I wish we'd get back to that attitude. I belong a nudist organization (ClothesFree International) which promotes it as the healthy thing it is.
That interviewer who's admiring Pelé's stuff also appears to be holding a dildo. Just kidding.
