Praia do Pinho, Brazil
Located in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, this beach was the first one in Brazil to be declared clothing optional, in 1987. Though officially clothing-optional, there is a saying among nudists there: "clothing is not an option." In other words, everyone is expected to get naked.
It has a beautiful stretch of sandy beach ...
And rocky areas on either side.
Just above the beach there's a parking lot, campground, inn, bar, and restaurant.
The beach has a Facebook site that promotes it as a naturist family destination. The beach is not gay-friendly: mixed-sex couples are allowed in, but males without female partners are not, unless they are members of the International Naturist Federation.
However, this male-only photo did appear on the beach's Facebook site.
The beach also has good surf.
A nude surfing competition was held here in 2013, part of the 25th anniversary of the Brazilian Federation of Naturism. Spectators were allowed on the beach only if they were naked. There was a space behind the beach for spectators who did not want to remove their clothes.
The surfers, of course, were naked ...
Except some were only half-naked. Apparently the bottom half had to be uncovered.
Here's a TV crew interviewing some of the surfers. I wonder how much their viewers got to see.
The winner of the competition was Rafael Goulart, age 35, above. How do you say "Cowabunga!" in Portuguese?

If you're an unashamed male and you have photos of yourself or your male buddies naked on the beach (or anywhere else) that you would allow me to use in my blog, please email them to unashamedmale@gmail.com. I'll keep you anonymous if you want. Don't send pictures that you found on the Internet. It's you I'm interested in! Thanks. -Larry

Beautiful beach!
Haven't been to a nude beach for years. Too far away from me. I miss it.
Camera crew should have been required to go nude too!
