 Traumfresser

Traumfresser (dream eater) is a German cabaret punk rap band (whatever that means) formed in 2016 by Izzy Lippert in Weimar, Germany.  Today's post is a bit different from past posts featuring naked performers.  The band does not perform naked, although they have had a few publicity photos like the one above.

Here's another publicity photo.  Izzy is the one in the center.  But nudity is not really the band's thing.  Their thing is singing satirical songs and songs that are critical of right-wing extremism.

What inspired today's post is their 2019 music video Feuerwehrschweine (Fire department pigs), above.  It generated waves of public indignation.  In the video, they ridicule firemen and sing a repeated chorus of "fuck the firemen."  The band said that the song is a parody of punk songs, and that they respect firefighters.  If you follow the words, it becomes clear that this is a satire when the band complains about how the firemen wouldn't save a brand-new flat screen TV because "these pigs just want to save human lives!"

But the music video also triggered indignation because it contains explicit gay sex.  The video starts with the band playing in front of two firemen and a fire truck, but after about a minute, the firemen start kissing and undressing each other, and as the song progresses, the firemen progress to sucking and fucking, right on screen.  There were two versions of the music video.  In the censored version, released on YouTube, the firemen's penises were blocked out, but it was still clear what they were doing.  In the uncensored version (above), released on PornHub, nothing is hidden.

Interestingly, even in the censored version, in the last 30 seconds, the two firemen are fucking in their truck, not blocked, pixellated, or blurred.  Maybe the censors didn't notice because the firemen were rather small in the background.  The excerpt above shows the last 30 seconds of the censored Youtube version, which I have zoomed in to show the firemen.

Note: I added subtitles to the uncensored video based on closed caption wording from the censored YouTube version.  I made one change: the closed caption wording translated the chorus "fick die Feuerwehr" (literally "fuck the fire department") as "fuck the firefighters."  I translated it as "fuck the firemen," because they are quite obviously men.
