University of Sydney Veterinary School
Last March I showed a series of nude calendars by veterinary school students from the Royal Dick School (yes, that really is its name) in Edinburgh, Scotland, the University of Glasgow, Scotland, the Royal Veterinary School, London, and James Cook University in Queensland, Australia.
Today's photos are from another veterinary school, this time the University of Sydney, Australia.
For almost a decade, the veterinary students have put out a nude calendar each year, raising money for various charities. The photo above is from the 2015 calendar, called Under the Overalls. That's a big fish.
As usual with these calendars, frontal nudity is artfully concealed. In this 2015 calendar photo, a ladder is positioned so it just barely hides the goods.
Some sheepish students in another 2015 calendar photo. The calendars show both male and female veterinary students, but I'm concentrating on the males, since this is The Unashamed Male, not The Unashamed Female.
This action shot is from the 2016 calendar, called After Hours. Modesty is preserved with tennis balls and a dog.
The 2017 calendar was called Free Range Vets. Here's a free range vet riding the range bareback. You'll see a rear view of him in a "making of" video at the end of this post.
More free range vets and their dogs in the hay.
Free range vets jumping into a lake. You'll see them in the "making of" video, too.
Of course, free range vets have to attend to horses and their hoofs and horseshoes.
The 2018 calendar was called Shedding the Stigma, encouraging people to shed the stigma of seeking help for mental health problems like suicidal thoughts. These guys seem to have shed the stigma of getting naked in public. From their postures, though, it looks like those water jets in the background suddenly made them all have to pee.
The 2020 calendar was called Vets Bare in Mind. It also supported a mental health charity. This photo of sunrise at the lake is beautiful, but, you know, we expect to see nude people in a nude calendar, not just silhouettes.
But after a little brightening in Photoshop, we see what was hidden in the photo. Did I mention it's beautiful?
The 2021 calendar was called Bums for the Bush, and because of the COVID pandemic (it was shot in 2020), the students were photographed while social distancing, like the shot above.
Here are some excerpts from the "making of" video for the 2017 calendar that I mentioned earlier. The last scene doesn't show them jumping into the lake, but it shows them before and after.

That's how life supposed to be at the great outdoors
