Maslin Beach Nude Olympics
To celebrate the Tokyo Olympics that officially starts today, we present the Maslin Beach Nude Olympics in Australia.
Maslin Beach, near Adelaide, South Australia, has been ranked in Australia's top 10 beaches. It also became Australia's first official nude beach in 1975.
Starting in 1983, the Maslin Beach Nude Olympics was held there. In 2013, the Australian Olympic Committee objected to the name. What spoilsports! Event organizer David Pillar, owner of a nudist resort on the Murray River, was forced to rename the event the Maslin Beach Nude Games.
It could be argued that this event is truer to the spirit of the ancient Greek Olympics, where the athletes competed naked. But the truth is, under any name, the Maslin Beach Nude Olympics would never be confused with the real Olympics. It features competitions such as frisbee throwing (above) ...
the Tissue Box Competition, which seems to involve competitors shaking their booty to try to remove what appear to be ping pong balls from the tissue box ...
the ever popular sack race ...
the water fill competition, in which I'm guessing the competitors are racing to fill a container using these plastic buckets with holes in them ...
a tug of war ...
and the Best Bums competition, in which contestants' upper bodies are covered so they are judged only by their bums. The Best Bums competition is divided into men under 35, men 35 and over, women under 35, and women 35 and over.
This photo was unlabeled, but I think it shows some of the Best Bums winners. The blue ribbon seems well-deserved.
Enjoy the Olympics!

Ridiculous of any Olympic Committee to object to the name. As you say, the original Greek Games were done in the nude.
Sounds like fun, nothing wrong with that
