Calendars - Part 6

 Stranraer & Rhins Young Farmers Club

This is the story of another British naked calendar.  The Stranraer & Rhins Young Farmers Club in Scotland decided to make a naked calendar for 2015.

Like most of these British calendars, it featured real club members, not models, who were happy to strip for charity.

But the real story happened when they were making this shot.  21 year old David Watson, left, was holding the cow by the rope when the cow decided to run off. 

David ran after it, still holding on to the rope.  He said, "I let go when I was out of breath and thought, ‘bugger this’."

The spectacle was witnessed by at least half a dozen of David's fellow farmers who were left in hysterics.  23-year-old fellow farmer Ellie MacMaster took the shots of David running after the cow. "The image of that boy chasing after a cow is etched on my mind," she said.

The cow, an Ayrshire named Highmark Chancer, was later recovered.  After all that, the picture of the cow was not used in the calendar, but the photos of David chasing it made it into the local press, titled "How now, brown cow?"
