Oblation Run
The annual Oblation Run is held at the University of the Philippines by members of the fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. It's named after the Oblation statue (above), a symbol of the University, a copy of which is on each of the multiple campuses. The statue represents the selfless offering of oneself to the country. It was originally nude, but a university president intervened to require a fig leaf.
The Oblation Run started on the Diliman campus (Quezon City), but it has also been adopted by branches of the fraternity on other campuses. It's usually held on December 16, the anniversary of the founding of the fraternity. Above, in 2014, a participant is held up in the same pose as the statue. No fig leaf here!
It's not just streaking. The students use it as a vehicle for protest on social justice issues. In 2003, this student's message was "No 2 kidnapping."
In 2016, you can see a sign protesting the burial of dictator Ferdinand Marcos in a place of honor in the LNMB cemetery. Another student merely proclaims, "Dicks out for peace!"
Although the participants run around the campus, this is no mere streak. It's much more of a protest and a social event. Participants hand out roses to women. And, as seen here, it's a photo opportunity, though they're wearing masks. I think the masks are a wise move to prevent any possible retribution for their political beliefs.
