Not the Same Old Song - Part 44

 MTA

MTA was a 1959 hit by the Kingston Trio.  The song was originally written in 1949, telling the tale of a mythical man who was forever trapped in the Boston subway system (called the Metropolitan Transit Authority, or MTA) because the fare had increased from 10 cents to 15 cents.  Ah, those were the days!

I am indebted to Michalis, who follows my blog, for providing the subway video.  His video shows him riding the subway in Berlin completely naked.  In Germany, public nudity is allowed in some places, such as certain public parks and beaches, but the subway is not one of those places.  Nevertheless, the German subway riders hardly bat an eye at him.  I wish Americans were as tolerant as the Germans are.

Thank you so much, Michalis!

Two folks noticed...the dude in the blue shirt and black-framed glasses, and the dude off to the left with the camera who took a photo. Can you imagine that in NYC? Or Boston?
