The Dwarves
Previously, we saw Nick Oliveri playing with the band The Dwarves (above).
Here's another photo of Nick with The Dwarves. But the band already had a reputation for naked performances.
The Dwarves are a punk band that started as a garage band in Chicago in the 1980s. The members all go by pseudonyms. The most notorious, calling himself He Who Cannot Be Named (above), routinely plays naked.
In 1993 the band issued a press release that He Who Cannot Be Named had been stabbed to death in Philadelphia, and they attached a tribute to the late guitarist on the 1993 album Sugarfix. The only problem was that it was a hoax; he was very much alive. Their record label was not amused and dropped them.
Above, He Who Cannot Be Named at a club called King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, Scotland in 2007.
Above, playing at The Knitting Factory in New York City, 2007.

We end with two short video clips of performances. I don't have a date or location for the first one, but with his mask based on the British flag, I'm guessing it was on tour in Britain. They're playing the song Let's Fuck.

The idea of playing naked is very cool (and exhibitionistic), but it would be better without a mask.
man, that's why your blog is named unashamed, that's really embarassing, but the audience is enjoying and didnt mind at all like it's nothing, he's a real man
Ya gotta love a guy who not ashamed of the goods. They may have kept their record label if they had made them privvy to the publicity stunt.
