Cardiff, Wales 2022
World Naked Bike Rides are held in many cities around the world. One that I haven't covered before is Cardiff, Wales. These photos are from the Cardiff WNBR in 2022.
The World Naked Bike Ride promotes several messages. One is that riding a bike instead of driving a car saves burning fossil fuel, which is good for the environment. Above, a rider promotes Pedal Power.

One of the stops along the route of Cardiff's WNBR is the Welsh Parliament building (Cardiff is the capital of Wales). Here's our Pedal Power guy posing there.
Another WNBR message is the vulnerability of cyclists; that drivers need to be more aware of them for safety's sake. "Now you see me" says the sign on this WNBR rider. His point is that drivers see him because he's naked, but they should always be paying attention to cyclists.

Not all the WNBR participants ride bicycles. Our "Now You See Me" guy rode a skateboard.
And some participants are just there for the fun of it, like this guy posing at the Welsh Parliament. He doesn't have a slogan. He's just painted to make his nipples and his dick into happy faces.
The final thing that the WNBR promotes is body freedom. The slogan being painted on this guy is "Nudist. Born This Way." And he's right. We were all born naked; why should nudity be so shameful?
But in addition to being naked, the "Born this way" guy brought his African Grey Parrot along with him, the first time I've seen a WNBR rider bring a pet. He has it tethered on a string so it can't fly very far away.
And here he is riding his bike, with his parrot happily perched on his head.

Looks like a fun day for everyone.
Seeing the «pedal power» made me laugh as in French «pédale» is a word to say «queer» or «sissy».. So pedal pawer could also mean «queer power»..
I'd like to see a lot more of "Now you see me"....
I agree, I see it all (penis)
In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Naked Bike Rides, I've seen small dogs in handlebar baskets and small children in playpen trailers.
